About the Kodak Films:

Kodak VISION3 50D is a low-speed daylight-balanced color negative movie film characterized by its ability to record a wide dynamic range with increased highlight sensitivity.

It has an exposure index of 50 when shot in daylight conditions and its fine grain structure contributes to notably high image sharpness. As part of the VISION3 series of movie films, this stock has high archival stability and is well-suited to digital post production processes.

KODAK VISION Color Print Film / 2383/3383 sensitometry (characteristic curve) is different from EASTMAN EXR Color Print Film 2386, 3386.

The upper scale is slightly higher in D-max, resulting in an improved black on projection. The toe areas of the three sensitometric curves are matched more closely than 2386 Film, producing more neutral highlights on projection.

As a pro colorist, all LUTs are properly stress-tested to work with any Rec709 footage.
